Cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They can be used for useful things, like keeping you logged in, or more invasive things, like tracking you across the web. Pamelection only uses cookies that are necessary for the site to function, and this page lists them all.

• Session cookie (Supabase) Keeps you logged in between page loads. Issued by our authentication provider, it contains your encrypted session and no tracking identifier. It expires when you log out or when the session ends. Without it, you would have to log in on every page.
• Language preference Remembers whether you chose English or French so the site loads in your preferred language. It contains only the locale code, such as en or fr.
• Anti-abuse challenge (Cloudflare Turnstile) On forms only, we use Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated abuse without making you solve puzzles. It may store short-lived, strictly functional challenge state while you complete a form. It is not used for tracking and runs nowhere else on the site.
• Theme preference (local storage) Your light or dark mode choice is stored in your browser's local storage. Technically, this is not a cookie, but we list it here for completeness. It never leaves your device.

• No advertising cookies. There are no ads on Pamelection, so there is nothing to target.
• No analytics cookies. We don't use behavioral analytics, heatmaps, or session recording. Operational metrics come from anonymous, short-lived server logs (see Privacy).
• No third-party tracking. No social media pixels, ad-network beacons, or fingerprinting scripts. We don't embed anything from social networks or advertising companies in our pages.

Cookie consent banners exist because many sites use cookies for advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking. Pamelection only uses cookies that are necessary for the site to function. No banner isn't an oversight; this page tells you exactly what we use.

You can view, block, or delete cookies at any time in your browser's settings. Blocking the session cookie means you won't be able to stay logged in, but everything public on the site — aggregates, charts, and guides — remains accessible without an account. Logging out removes your session immediately.
